St. Anthony Catholic Elementary School offers many programs and services to meet the individual needs of all of our students.

Breakfast Bin Program

Our popular Breakfast Bin Program provides food throughout the day for each class, and begins the first week of school. The Breakfast Bin Program is funded by the Northumberland Food for Thought organization, Breakfast for Learning Program and funding from our school board.

Before and After School Homework Support Program 

Available to students from grade 1 to 8, before and after school assistance is offered every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the school library. The morning program runs from 8 a.m. to the start of school and the afternoon sesion runs from after school until 4:15.  The assistance is supplied by our Educational Assistants. Students can gain help with homework/assignment completion or get extra help with math or reading.

 Community'sCHOOL after school Program

The program is offered after school at St. Anthony until 5 p.m. on Mondays (excluding holidays) for grades 3 and up. The program runs fro the fall until late April. It is run by the Municipality of Port Hope Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture. Students will participate in a variety of physical activities crafts and are provided with a snack.

Parents can register their child(ren) by visiting the town Park and Recreation Centre, by phone (905) 885-7908 or visit www.porthope.ca to register online. There is a $20.00 fee payable to the Town of Port Hope.

Special Education

Our School Board also delivers programs and supports that enable all students to reach their highest potential. Visit Special Education Services and learn about the Board's Autism classrooms, Snoezelen rooms, BEST behaviour classrooms, learning centre classroom, and speech and language services.
